The Roam is a full-suspension trekking e-bike designed for long days in the saddle. It soaks up rough ground, keeps you in a relaxed riding position and stays composed when the surface changes, so a long route becomes the best part of the day rather than a test of endurance.
Its 20" step-over frame is designed for riders from 165 to 185 cm who want the classic trekking position.
Tarmac, cycle lanes, gravel tracks or forest paths: one bike for commuting during the week and touring at the weekend.

Full suspension, built for trekking
Most trekking e-bikes are hardtails. The Roam pairs a 100 mm hydraulic fork with a 60 mm four-link rear suspension, tuned for long-distance riding: less vibration, more grip and a steady, predictable ride when tarmac gives way to gravel.

MapFour developed the suspension as a complete system, based on field testing and on how vibration and impacts build up over hours of riding. It is matched to the trekking geometry to absorb repeated knocks, reduce fatigue and help you keep your rhythm.
RideGuard™: tracking, locking and navigation from your phone
RideGuard is MapFour’s smart protection system. It brings anti-theft protection, on-screen navigation and locking from your phone together in the MapFour app, so owning a premium e-bike is simpler and safer.
Works with the MapFour app (iOS and Android). Connected features such as GPS tracking, 24/7 monitoring, alerts and geofencing may require a subscription after a free period: we will confirm the current terms before you buy.

Low-maintenance drivetrain
Chain-driven trekking bikes need regular cleaning, lubrication and adjustment. The Roam uses a Michelin carbon belt with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed internal hub instead: a cleaner, quieter drivetrain that stays consistent kilometre after kilometre.

Fast charging with the 8 A charger
With the included 8 A fast charger and smart battery management (BMS), the Roam recharges much faster than with a conventional charger: a longer stop, such as lunch, puts a good share of the charge back.
Up to 150 km of range
The 720 Wh LG battery (36 V, 20 Ah) delivers up to 150 km per charge in Eco mode (manufacturer figure), with consistent power in town, on forest tracks and on multi-day tours. Real-world range depends on rider weight, elevation, temperature and assist level.
100 Nm for confident climbing
The Mivice X700 mid-drive motor (250 W rated power) delivers up to 100 Nm and meters assistance through a torque sensor: smooth at low speed and confident when you carry a load, on steep hills, forest tracks and long tours.
Fully equipped from day one
Full mudguards, a trekking rear rack, integrated lights with a 30 lux front lamp and a bottle mount, all included as standard: you only need to add your panniers.

MapFour Roam: frequently asked questions
What rider height is the MapFour Roam for?
Riders from 165 to 185 cm (20" step-over frame). If you are under 165 cm or prefer not to swing a leg over the saddle, the Roam ST (160 to 180 cm) will suit you better.
What is the difference between the Roam and the Roam ST?
Only the frame. The Roam has a 20" step-over frame for riders from 165 to 185 cm; the Roam ST has a 19" step-through frame for 160 to 180 cm that is easier to get on and off. Motor, battery, suspension, drivetrain and equipment are identical.
Is the MapFour Roam street-legal in Spain?
Yes. It is a pedal-assisted bicycle: 250 W rated continuous power and assistance only while you pedal, reduced and cut off before 25 km/h; it is certified to EN 15194 by TÜV, according to the manufacturer. Legally it is a bicycle: no licence, number plate, roadworthiness test or compulsory insurance. More in our guide to e-bike rules in Spain.
How far does the MapFour Roam go and how long does it take to charge?
Up to 150 km in Eco mode with the 720 Wh LG battery (manufacturer figure); real range depends on weight, elevation, temperature and assist level. With the included 8 A fast charger, a full 0–100 % charge takes about 2.5–3 hours.
What maintenance does the Roam’s carbon belt need?
Far less than a chain: it needs no lubrication and does not rust. Keep it clean and have its tension checked at routine services, which we carry out at our workshops in Valencia and Barcelona.
How does RideGuard work on the MapFour Roam?
Through the MapFour app: motion and geofence alerts, GPS location, electronic locking from your phone and navigation sent to the bike’s display. Connected features may require a subscription after a free period; we confirm the current terms before purchase. For street parking, add a good physical lock.
What data does the MapFour Roam generate and how can I access it?
The Roam is a connected e-bike: in use it generates operating, connectivity and related-service data (vehicle status, mileage, ride records, device information, and the settings, pairing actions, feedback and community interactions you make in the app). Some of it is used for vehicle management, ride history, diagnostics and after-sales support. Data categories, purposes, how to access, export or delete the data and how to authorise third parties are set out on MapFour’s EU Data Act page and in the MapFour app.
What warranty does the MapFour Roam have?
A three-year legal guarantee from delivery (ENGWE Spain guarantee), handled by us as the seller from our stores in Valencia and Barcelona. On top of that, our commercial warranty varies by component: see the table in our Terms and Conditions (§7.2).
Can I see and try the MapFour Roam before buying?
Yes, at our stores in Valencia (Guadalaviar 2, +34 960 730 787) and Barcelona (Carrer del Parlament 13, +34 936 940 449). Call or message us first to check which units we have.
How is the MapFour Roam shipped?
If in stock, we ship it in 1–2 working days from our warehouse in Spain, free to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands on orders of €500 or more. You can also collect it free of charge boxed in Valencia or Barcelona, or assembled and set up for €50 (VAT included).
