How to decide between P20, L20, M20 and Engine Pro

1. Start with where you will store it

A folding bike is not automatically easy to carry. The P20 is the city- and storage-focused option. L20 3.0 Pro and Engine Pro 3.0 Boost also fold, but their wider tires, suspension and larger batteries add bulk and weight. If you have stairs, a small lift or need to lift the bike daily, check folded dimensions and weight on the product page before buying.

2. Separate comfort from portability

Full suspension on the L20 3.0 Pro and Engine Pro 3.0 Boost helps on rough paving and permitted trails, but it adds complexity and volume. The M20 also uses front and rear suspension with wide tires, although its frame does not fold. For paved commuting and mixed transport, the P20 prioritises a more direct ride and compact package.

3. Do not choose by the maximum kilometre figure alone

Maximum ranges are measured under specific conditions and are not a promise for every route. Compare battery capacity, motor type, the assistance level you normally use, elevation and charging options at your destination. For a short daily commute, a bike that is easier to store may be a better decision than the model with the largest theoretical range.

4. Consider how the motor responds

The L20 3.0 Pro's mid-drive sends assistance through the drivetrain and provides 100Nm. P20 and Engine Pro 3.0 Boost use torque sensors to match assistance to pedal pressure. The M20 provides 55Nm with an experience focused on fat-bike styling. The best feel depends on your route and preferences, not just the highest number.

Important differences by model

ENGWE L20 3.0 Pro: premium compact comfort

This is the option for riders who want a mid-drive motor, strong hill response, front and rear suspension and a folding frame. Its 20 × 3-inch tires sit between a narrow city tire and a 4-inch fat tire. A 720Wh battery and the published two-hour charge time suit longer distances or frequent use.

Consider: this is not a lightweight folder. Confirm its dimensions, your car boot space and whether you need to carry it up stairs.

ENGWE M20: motorcycle styling and a dual-battery option

The M20 stands out visually and combines 20 × 4-inch tires with hydraulic front and rear suspension. The 13Ah configuration publishes up to 75 km, while the 26Ah option extends the published figure to 150 km. It is the only one of these four models that does not fold.

Consider: its format favours presence, grip and stability over easy transport. Decide where you will park and store it.

ENGWE P20: the practical city option

The P20 combines a folding frame, 20 × 1.95-inch tires, a 250W motor, torque sensor and hydraulic brakes. Its product page publishes up to 100 km from a 288Wh battery. The design focuses on commuting, storage and easy integration into a daily routine.

Consider: if you need wide tires or full suspension for very rough surfaces, the L20 3.0 Pro or Engine Pro 3.0 Boost is a closer fit.

Engine Pro 3.0 Boost: a folding fat bike for mixed routes

It combines a 250W hub motor, 90Nm, torque sensor, full suspension, 20 × 4-inch tires and a 720Wh battery. The current technical table specifies 130 km in PAS 1, 108 km in PAS 3 and 80 km in PAS 5, which is more useful than one maximum figure.

Consider: folding does not mean small or light. This model prioritises grip and equipment rather than being carried by hand every day.
